Hi! My name is Stefani (Recheshter/Bondari).

I’m a performing musician and teaching artist based in Brooklyn, NY. I began my musical journey as a classical pianist and went on to attend Special Music School High School in NYC, where I received rigorous pre-conservatory training in piano, composition, and jazz voice. I later studied jazz voice in Canada, earning my degree in Jazz Performance from McGill University’s Schulich School of Music.

After returning to NYC, I began teaching full-time at a non-profit providing music education for people with disabilities, where I became Lead Teaching Artist. I taught everything from rhythm and movement to songwriting, as well as keyboard to visually impaired musicians. I also created a conducting class where students performed and conducted original works of mine alongside a professional string quartet.

Alongside this work, I continued teaching private lessons to students of all ages and abilities.

I perform all around NYC and North America under my artist name, Stefani Bondari. I also continue to compose and write for different ensembles and choirs. Here are a couple links to my music if you’re curious:

I’m deeply passionate about helping people find their own voice in music—I believe it’s the most powerful aspect of this medium. I weave together every part of my artistic journey and education, sharing the many ways music has spoken to me, so that you can freely discover how it speaks to you.
